Health dept to prepare SOP for timely payment to firms – ET HealthWorld

Jaipur: A standard operating procedure (SOP) will be prepared for timely payment to private firms helping state govt hospitals in providing CT scan, MRI and dialysis facilities across Rajasthan.

The decision was taken following the discontinuation of cashless CT scan facilities in three districts by a private firm as its bills were not cleared on time by the state health department.

A health department official said they will prepare SOP soon and it will be implemented in the state. The SOP will ensure that the private firms get timely or monthly payment for the cashless facilities they are providing to the patients.

Since the government has not developed its CT scan, MRI and dialysis centres in most of the government hospitals, it is taking help of private firms by signing MoUs with them to provide the facilities to the patients on public private partnership in government hospitals.

On Mar 31,2022, the health department had issued orders that the facilities in the government hospitals on PPP mode have been made cashless for the patient.

From April 1, 2022, the patients do not need to pay the bills for such facilities including CT scan, dialysis and MRI. The concerned hospital, where the facilities on PPP mode are being provided to the patients, will pay the bills to the private firms.
